At this moment, America’s views on gay rights are undergoing a radical transformation. That which was taboo only a generation ago, such as same-sex marriage, is now increasingly accepted by the American society (although, in fairness, they have hardly been embraced in all regions of the country).  For this reflection, consider the state of gay rights here and around the world. How does America’s LBGT record compare to those of other countries? Which countries do a better job than us of securing protections for their gay citizens? And conversely, which countries does the United States lead on these issues?
